People introduce in the video :
Zaha Hadid - Architect
Deyan Subjic - Director of the design Museum
Achim Borchardt-Hume - Curator, Malevich, Tate Modern
Prof John Milner - The courntauld institute of art
Mathias Rastorfer - CEO, galerie Gmurzynska
The document is a video which talk about the work of Kazimir Malevich. It is mainly the point of view of Zaha Hadid and how his work impacted her way of working ; she also explain his different stage of art and at the end of the video how she has evolve from it.
I like this video, I think it introduce very well and clearly Kazimir Malevich art. He did inspire many, through his way of representing form, the power of white in contrast of colored shape. I think he presented very well the quote "less is more " from Mies Van Der Rohe, From his early surprematism art, with color and multiple form to his extreme with white shape on white background.
The video introduce me to all the style and type of art Malevich has evolve ; cubism to suprematism with colors then with out; to architectural drawings to designing teapot; to finally social realism.
I was very interested on his suprematism work and architecton sculpture. All though he started to paint then move toward architecture drawing, I feel like he was always influence by organization of space and what we call urbanization and master planning. At 13:05 min of the video, Achim Borchard-Hume say " you could put them up on the ceiling or down on the ground and they would take on a different motion or ever the shape rising into inifity or [...] when you put them on the ground you could see quite easily how you could tern them into architectural plan or architectural drawings." i found this type of art very power full, been able to orientate art on different ways and get a new point of view on it; an other feeling of this art.
I don't think I have ever seen this work but when i do i will definitely take all my time to look and analyze it.

" My black square is a bare and frameless icon for our time. A rise comrades and free yourselves from the tyranny of objects " 1916
"Suprematism is the beginning of a new culture .. our world of art has become new non-objective, pure. Everything has disappeared" 1915
" We can only be aware of space if we break away from the earth, if the fulcrum disappears" 1928
" I conquered the lining of colored sky and tore it off, put color into the resulting bag and tied a knot, fly ! A white, free, endless - infinity- is before you ! " 1919
" Down with cupolas and heavenly vaults ... let wedges cut into the bosom of space" 1918
" Factory director : Mr Malevich your teapot does not poor well
Malevich : its not a teapot but the idea of a teapot ! "

Ceci n'est pas une pipe , "this isn't a pipe" by Rene Magritte in 1928-1929. Is the above a black square on a white canvas or a white rectangle on a black canvas.
